Sets and the City 14, The Americas 25- Sets and the City are getting better.  The Americas are scary good.

Shrimp Mode 26, Chaos 24- Huge playoff matchup here and it did not disappoint!  First loss for Chaos and Shrimp Mode's most quality win.

The Americas 25, The Untouchaballs 15- The Untouchaballs are getting ready for double elimination and look like a tough team.  The Americas is close to sealing the deal as the one seed.  They have been the best team but will they choke in the tourney?

Sets and the City 25, Average Joes 27- Did anyone tell Average Joes they won the championship last year?  Play like you want it.

The Untouchaballs 25, Average Joes 23- This could be a result win for tournament seeding.  Apparently Joes does not want a first round bye.

Finacey's Finest 14, Beavis and Bumphead 25- Beavis and Bumphead get their first win!  Will Finacey's Finest get their act together?  

Lundquist's Army 25, Opps and Kids 23- Lundquist's Army gets their first win!  If you call them down tomorrow, it doesn't look right!

Monday's scores and recap:

Beavis and Bumphead 3, The Untouchaballs 25- This was an absolute thrashing.  The Untouchaballs have the athletes and the team work.  If they can limit the carries, nets and assorted fouls like attacking serves, they could make could make some noise next week.  And I'm not just talking about the noise they make when they win a volley.  I do like the incessant clapping.

Sets and the City 25, Finacey's Finest 19- If Sets and the City could use 4 hits, they would be really good.  They did get their first win though.  This one was close but Scola showing up changed the game.  Finacey's Finest is still looking for their first win.  They have possibly the most string servers in the league.  I already knew Tuck can crush it but Trey and Amber showed they are great servers as well.  If this team can ever figure out how to rotate, the wins will come.  A huge opportunity against Beavis and Bumphead awaits Wednesday.  Win the day!

Beavis and Bumphead 10, Average Joes 25- If Beavis and Bumphead called in a diversion to get P. Cook out of the game, it didn't get you the W.

The Americas 25, Opps and Kids 17- The adults decided they would let some kids play for once.  The kids came through and the Americas remains undefeated.  Opps and Kids has shown flashes and they might have made a big addition to their roster before the tournament with tech savvy Mr. Levielle.  He's smooth.  If someone else starts writing on here though, it's him.  I'm fine with him playing, but he better not hack my blog!

Chaos 25, The Untouchaballs 18- Chaos also remained undefeated today.  This game was absolutely close the whole way until the end.  After a call on Untouchaballs, they came unraveled.  How beatable is Chaos without one of their stars?  The track kids can't play, so can Chaos go all the way now?  Will Maddog Jr. and Sara turn up the power on the death star serves with Sev out?  

Lundquist's Army 17, Shrimp Mode 25- Shrimp Mode is eyeing a top seed from the shadows.  Chaos and Americas have tough games ahead and Shrimp Mode is trying to sneak in to one of the top 2 seeds and a bye with their excellent play.  They are hard to out-volley.  You have to thrown down (spike) on them to beat them.

Lundquist's Army 14, The Untouchaballs 25- The Untouchaballs have won 2 in a row.  They eye three with Beavis on Monday.  Keep the streak alive!

Sets and the City 24, Opps and Kids 26- This was the best game of the day by far!  Sets and the City staged a great come back only to come up just barely short.  Big net points by el Jefe with the game on the line.  Killing them with kindness- tapping it over the net!  Deflection, score!

Chaos 25, Finacey's Finest 10- Chaos awaits a challenge.

Shrimp Mode 25, Beavis and Bumphead 13- After a set back, Shrimp Mode is ramping up for the playoffs.  They volley very well.

Chaos 25, Lundquist's Army 8- Chaos still awaits a challenge.

The Americas 25, Average Joes 11- This was truly a humbling experience.  Average Joes made some mistakes, but The Americas are that good.  They bump, set and spike as good as anybody.  Silveria has gotten better too.
